Gretchen Elaine Francisco
Gretchen Elaine Francisco, passed away Aug. 8, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer’s.
She was born Oct. 10, 1945, in Westfield, N.Y., to Jack and Elaine Caldwell and married Theodore LaVaughn Francisco, Sept. 12, 1964, in Ripley, N.Y.
Gretchen moved to Roswell, N.M., where she resided for 20 years until moving back to be with family. Gretchen managed the Harley Davidson Shop in Roswell, N.M. She enjoyed dancing, walking, gardening, her dogs, cooking and NASCAR, Dale Jr. was her driver. Gretchen was a huge supporter against breast cancer and Alzheimer’s. She participated in many walks and fundraisers and always willing to help a lending hand.
Gretchen is survived by a brother, John Caldwell; three daughters: Mimi (Jeff) Francisco, Michelle Francisco and Jacqueline Francisco, all of Mayville, N.Y.; seven grandchildren: Alicia Abbey, Austin Albanesius, Ashton (Cody) Albanesius, Tim (Jamie) Johnson, Garrett Francisco, Ted Francisco and Maggie Rowicki; three great grandchildren: Charlotte Bird, Norah and Connor Johnson.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a brother Gary Caldwell. The family would like to thank everyone at Hospice for their compassionate care they gave Gretchen.
