Sean Michael Carpenter

Sean Michael Carpenter, 35, of Jamestown, N.Y., formerly of Warren and Pittsburgh, Pa., passed away tragically on May 22, 2018, in Jamestown, N.Y. Sean was born Jan. 10, 1983, to his mother, Ann Carpenter in Jamestown, N.Y. ?

He was a graduate of Warren Area High School, class of 2001, where he participated in various sports and clubs. In his youth, he was a proud member of the Boy Scouts of America, where he became a Life Scout and participated in the Order of the Arrow. Sean was a world traveler and loved being outdoors. Whether it was camping, rock climbing, hiking, swimming or attending music concerts and festivals, his best memories were created in the wilderness. Music was a passion of his. He was a talented guitar player and a huge supporter of local music. He made it a point to attend as many shows as he could to show his support. Sean was a talented dart player. He participated in the Jamestown and Warren Dart leagues, which led him to his fellow group of close friends that refer to themselves as “Sh*t Hawks.” He was a collector of vintage toys and enjoyed attending Comic Conventions.

Sean was light, love and good times. He made sure that everyone around him was happy, safe and having fun while creating new memories. Sean has left a lasting and memorable impression on everyone he came in contact with and will be missed by many.

Sean is survived by his mother, Ann Carpenter of Jamestown, N.Y.; his companion of almost 10 years, Amy McClellan of Pittsburgh, Pa.; his uncle, William “Bill” Carpenter of San Francisco, Calif.; great-auntm Susan Olson and husband, Michael Glossop of Providence, R.I.; his pets who he rescued and loved so much, Bela, Ziggy and Bob; and many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bruce K. Carpenter and grandmother, Tess Carpenter

The Family of Sean Carpenter would like to give a special thanks to Captain Robert Samuelson and the Jamestown Police Department, Brent Isaacson and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Buffalo Division, Janeane Shanahan and the Community United Effort and the countless volunteers that aided in the efforts made regarding Sean’s disappearance.

A memorial service celebrating Sean’s life will be held at Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services 111 S. Main St. Jamestown, on Saturday from 4-7 p.m.
