Darrin Spinuzza, 52 years old of Deland, Fla., and formerly of Brocton, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, June 8, 2018, at Westfield Memorial Hospital. Darrin was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., on May 1, 1966, and was the son of Peter Spinuzza of Brocton, N.Y., and the late Bonnie Leid Spinuzza.
He was a 1984 graduate of Brocton Central School after which he joined the United States Marine Corps serving our country from 1985 to 1989. In 1994, he moved to Florida where he had lived ever since. Darrin worked as a diesel mechanic for Ring Power Cat of Daytona Beach, Fla. Besides his family he enjoyed the beach and most especially his grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Wood Spinuzza of Deland, Fla., whom he married on July 21, 1995; two daughters: Jennica (Markus) Spinuzza Baumgartl of Orlando, Fla., and Nicole Spinuzza of Deland Fla.; a son, Jacob Spinuzza of Deland, Fla.; two grandchildren: Sophia Marlatt and Gage Marlatt, his father Peter Spinuzza of Brocton, N.Y.; a brother, Marcus (Tracey) Spinuzza of Silver Creek, N.Y.; and two sisters: Tammy (Dan) Wolnik of Tampa, Fla., and Mindy Spinuzza of Orlando, Fla. Darrin was predeceased by his mother, Bonnie, who passed away in 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on June 12, 2018, from St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church on Central Avenue, Brocton, N.Y., where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. At the conclusion of the Service, Darrin will be accorded full Military Honors by the American Legion John W Dill Post 434 of Brocton, N.Y., after which his wife Julie will be presented the American Flag by Chaplin Fran Lus.
