Philip E. “Phil” Proctor

Philip E. “Phil” Proctor, 63, of Fairview, Pa., passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018. Born in Westfield, New York March 4, 1955, he was a son of the late Rexford L. and Joan K. (Kormos) Proctor.

He graduated from Clymer Central High School and attended the State University of New York at Buffalo. A car aficionado and more specifically a longtime “Chevy Guy,” Phil worked in new car sales at his family’s car dealership, Proctor Chevrolet, in Findley Lake. He later worked for Rick Spur and Gary Miller Chevrolet. For over 20 years he had been the new car manager at Dave Hallman Chevrolet.

Phil had a bigger than life personality and a big heart willing to help everyone who crossed his path. He was extremely devoted to his family and friends as well as all of his many dogs over the years. He enjoyed golfing with his friends and cherished growing up at Findley Lake. Phil especially loved his family vacations and uncle’s weekends.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy M. (Campbell) Proctor; two brothers: Rex Proctor (Jan) of St. Louis, Mo., and Marty Proctor (Lisa) of Findley Lake, N.Y.; parents-in-law, Ken and Audrey Campbell; sisters-in-law: Pam (John) and Karen (Andy); nieces and nephews: Ashley, Libby, Adam, Russell, Stephen and Peter; and a great-niece and nephews.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th St. at Greengarden Blvd, Erie, PA 16508. Services will be held there on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with his friend, the Rev. Bill Young officiating. Private burial with family will take place at Mina Cemetery.
