John H. Sanders

John H. Sanders, 84, of Sugar Grove, passed away March 29, 2018, at the Warren Manor.

John was born May 11, 1933, in Jamestown, NY, a son to the late Hobart and Mabel (Brown) Sanders. He a veteran on the US Army serving during in the Panama War. John was a self-employed egg farmer in the Sugar Grove area for many years. He had attended the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church and was a 60-year member of the Sugar Grove American Legion Post 758.

John is survived by a sister, Joan (Frank) Coffaro of Sugar Grove; and two sisters-in-law, Susan Sanders of California, Merline Sanders of N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two wives, Martha Grant Sanders and Mary Lou Sanders; three brothers, Richard, Robert and Ray Sanders; and a sister-in-law, Thelma Sanders.

Graveside services and full military honors will be conducted by the Youngsville American Legion Honor Guard on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Wesleyan Cemetery in Sugar Grove. The family suggests memorial donations may be made in honor of his mother, Mabel Sanders, to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, 3 Race St. Sugar Grove, Pa. 16350.
