Harriet H. Deering
Harriet H. Deering, 84, of Sinclairville, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born Jan. 21, 1934, in Jamestown, a daughter of the late Harry and Beatrice Fredlund Nolan. She attended Fredonia schools.
Harriet retired from Heritage Village, Gerry, where she had been employed in housekeeping.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting and spending time with family.
Wife of 55 years to Gilbert F. Deering Sr., whom she married Jan 6, 1951, and died Sept. 18, 2006; mother of Randall, Edward, Thomas (Amber Perry) Deering, all of Sinclairville, Kevin (DeeDee) Deering of Fredonia, and the late Gilbert F. Deering Jr. (Dec. 14, 2014); mother-in-law of Dorothy Deering of Sinclairville; grandmother of Mike (Stacy), Chad, Brandon, Nathan, Heather, Allyssa, Alicia and Kaitlyn Deering and Nicole (Jake) Sobecki; great-grandmother of Ivy, Lila, Emma, Hunter, Brianna and Brandon; great-greatgrandmother of Zelda; sister of Martha Pierce and the late Beatrice Tunquist, Irene Rasmussen, Janet Kephart, Elizabeth Winchell, Harry, William and Kenneth Nolan. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday. Private burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery.
