Anna “Ann” Elizabeth Florentina Peterson
Anna “Ann” Elizabeth Florentina Peterson, 86, of Shippensburg, Pa., passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Shippensburg Health Care Center.
She was born Sunday, Aug. 16, 1931, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Herman C. and Elizabeth “Betty” Berg Carlson.
Ann was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Landisburg. She enjoyed sewing, handcrafts and reading. As a devoted pastor’s wife, she was active in the church, Teen Challenge and Community Outreach.
She is survived by three daughters: Karen A. (husband, Hal) Still, Shippensburg, Linda K. (husband, Vernon) McCraw, Lakewood, N.Y., and Judy L. Peterson, San Marcos, Calif.; two sons: Erick N. (wife, Terrie) Peterson, Jamestown, N.Y., and the Rev. David P. (wife, Arden) Peterson, Chesapeake, Va.; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter on the way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, the Rev. Erick Herman Peterson, who passed away Oct. 3, 2014; one daughter, Nancy Peterson; and two grandsons: Tom Anderlik, and Mark Lucia.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Sunset Hill Cemetery, Lakewood, N.Y., with The Rev. David P. Peterson officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
