Anke C. Tompkins
Anke C. Tompkins, 48, of 126 Ivory St., Frewsburg, passed away Thursday (March 1, 2018) at her home.
She was born March 2, 1969. in Kaiserslautern, Germany, the daughter of Liane Stiefeling and Jakob Flickinger.
Anke was a graduate of Jamestown Community College.
She was employed at Cummins Engine and prior to that at Conewango Valley Country Club and Red Lobster.
Anke was a member of the Frewsburg American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Carroll Rod and Gun Club, and the Rec Committee of Cummins Engine.
Besides her father and mother, Liane Stiefeling- Haffner of Germany, she is survived by her stepfather, Bernhardt Haffner of Germany; her husband, Mark Tompkins, whom she married March 5, 2005; a daughter, Amanda (Corey Bryant) Wickstrom of Frewsburg; two grandchildren: Alan Wickstrom and Erika Bryant; a sister, Ute Christmann of Germany; Godparents: Ursula Schneider and Gert Stiefeling; and her Goddaughter, Ann Christmann.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Erika Stiefeling in September of 1999 and Fredrich Stiefling in April of 1970.
The family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m., Tuesday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
