Myles Phillip Thompson
Myles Phillip Thompson, 47, of Jamestown, N.Y., died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at UPMC Chautauqua WCA.
He was born July 6, 1970, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of the late Myles J. Thompson Sr. and Theresa Ferguson.
Phillip “Philly T” was a 1988 grduate of Jamestown High School where he excelled in athletics. He was a beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend.
He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Knicks. He was known for his big beautiful smile and his great sense of humor. He will be missed throughout the community.
Phillip is survived by five children: Jazman Thompson, Jaleesa (Danny) Thompson, Monique (Clarence) Hampton, Spencer Carlson and Isaiah Thompson, all of Jamestown, N.Y.; three brothers: Aaron Thompson, Cordell Thompson and Tyler Thompson; and a sister, Mylena Thompson, all Jamestown. Also surviving are several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at 1 p.m., at Blackwell Chapel, AME Zion Church. The Rev. Chloe Smith will officiate.
