Helen R. Renker
Helen R. Renker, 92, of Clymer, N.Y., formerly of Sherman, N.Y., died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at Corry Manor, Corry, Pa.
Helen was born Nov. 13, 1925, in Hempfield Twsp., Greensburg, Pa., to the late Benjamin Struble and Nancy (Fetter) Lang.
Helen graduated from Jeannette High School in 1943. She married George F. Renker Sr., on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 1946. The couple moved to the Mina-Cylmer area to operate a dairy farm.
Helen and George raised their family on their family dairy farm in Mina. Helen was a member of the Mayville Veterans of Foreign Wars Women’s Auxiliary and a former member of St. Isaac Jogues Church in Sherman, N.Y.
She enjoyed cooking, card club, dancing and was an avid bowler.
Helen is survived by her children: George F. (Laura) Renker Jr., of Ridge Manor, Fla., Nancy L. (Sam) Warren of Sims, N.C,, Cheryl L. (John) Jacobson, of Glenshaw, Pa., Sandra L. (David) Flick of North East, Pa., and C. James (Barbara) Renker of Harbor Creek, Pa. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Herrod of Florida.
Besides her parents, Helen is predeceased by her husband, George F. Renker, Sr., who passed Nov. 13, 2002.

Calls may be made Friday 6-9 p.m., at the SPITZER FUNERAL HOME, 8728 E. Main St., Clymer, N.Y., where funeral services will be conducted at noon on Saturday by the Rev. R. John Rough. Interment will be in the Mina Cemetery.
