Robin Lee Burkett Scott

Robin Lee Burkett Scott, 63, of Falconer, passed away Friday (Dec. 8, 2017) in UPMC Chautauqua/ WCA.

She was born June 12, 1954, in Binghamton, N.Y., the daughter of Stanley and Geraldine Larson Burkett.

Robin was a 1972 graduate of Frewsburg High School and 1975 graduate of Jamestown Community College with an associates degree in nursing. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from University of Buffalo in 1994.

She was employed by WCA Hospital for 30 years in the maternity ward, Bethel Baptist Christian Academy School as school nurse for 17 years and Phil & Cindy’s Lunch.

Robin was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting and sewing. She also enjoyed traveling along with her husband, Richard to Lancaster, Pa., to attend the Sight and Sound Theater.

Surviving are her husband, Richard H. Scott, whom she married Aug. 14, 2009, in Bethel Baptist Church; six stepsons: Mike Scott of Viola, Wis., Tim (Irene) Scott of North Ogden, Utah, Dan Scott and Doug Scott, both of Sanford, N.C., Robert Scott of Constantia, N.Y., and Garret (Sarah) Scott of Carthage, N.Y; her parents, Stanley and Geraldine Burkett of Falconer; a sister, Cindy (Phil) Ribaudo of Falconer; five brothers: Dan (Mary) Burkett of Highland Ranch, Colo., Dave (Darlene) Burkett of East Norriton, Pa., Tom (Ruth) Burkett of Frewsburg, Tim (Julie) Burkett of Frewsburg, and Stephen (Laurie) Burkett of Nampa, Idaho; her uncle, Robert (Sonya) Burkett of Jamestown; two aunts: Jacquelyn Holmes of Dover, Fla., and Pamela Westley of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Joy Burkett in 1961.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Bethel Baptist Church, 200 Hunt Road, Jamestown. The Rev. James Read, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Jamestown.

Friends will be received by the family from 5-8 p.m.. Tuesday in the Falconer Funeral Home and one hour prior to the funeral service Wednesday in the church.
