Richard Harrison, 59, of Jamestown, N.Y., died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017, at his home, following a short illness.
Born April 4, 1958, in Jamestown, N.Y., he was the son of the late R.B. Harrison Sr. and Hazel Jimerson. He was married in 1977 to Amy Redeye, who predeceased him in 2015.
He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Turtle Clan.
Mr. Harrison had been employed with Crawford Furniture of Jamestown for over 18 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors and fishing, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.
Surviving are: a daughter, Cassie (Larry) Ballard, Jamestown, N.Y.; a son, Lindsey (Tonya Rishell) Harrison, Celeron, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Sierra Rishell, Celoron, N.Y., Jacob Harrison, Celoron, N.Y., Erika Ballard, Jamestown, N.Y., and Michael Ballard, Jamestown, N.Y.; three brothers: R.B. (Darlene Smallish) Harrison Jr., Dough (Michelle) Harrison and William Harrison; three sisters: Diane (LeRoy) Seekings, Nona (Chuck) Meachum and Danielle (Roy) Davis, all of Jamestown, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a grandchild, Baby Ballard.
Friends may call at the family home, 212 1/2 Lakeview Ave., Jamestown, N.Y., beginning Saturday afternoon and continuing all day Sunday.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, N.Y., with members of the Cold Spring Longhouse officiating.
