Terry Lee Spangler Sr.

Terry Lee Spangler Sr., 66, of Celoron, N.Y., passed away in his home on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017.

Terry was born June 8, 1951, in Somers Point, N.J., the son of the late Bernard Spangler and Louella (Baum) Johnson.

Terry was employed at The Post-Journal, Clark lift of Buffalo, Ed Shultz and before he moved to Seattle, Wash., where he was employed by Yale lift truck for 20 years.

Terry is survived by his wife, Debra (Wolfe) Spangler of Celoron; his four children: Terry Spangler Jr. of Jamestown, N.Y., Melinda Linkous of Radford, Va., Stacie Spangler of Jamestown, N.Y., and Johnathan Spangler of Falconer, N.Y. Also survived by four stepchildren: Jason Caylor, April Johnson, John Caylor, Greg Caylor; two brothers: William Spangler, Alfred Johnson (A.J.); five sisters; Barbara Morrison, Valerie Propheter, Kay King, Dawn Henry and Lisa Post; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Terry loved watching the planes land at Airport Hill. He also enjoyed The Beach Boys, and of course, the company of all his dogs.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Bernard Spangler and Louella (Baum) Johnson; a sister, Kay King; a niece, Emily Verrett, and stepson, John Caylor. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Celoron Log Cabin in Celoron, N.Y.
