Phyllis M. Harwood
Phyllis M. Harwood, 86, of Baldwinsville, N.Y., formerly of Kennedy, passed away Saturday (Oct. 21, 2017) in Loretto Health and Rehab, Syracuse, N.Y.
She was born April 22, 1931, in Kennedy, the daughter of the late Darrell and Helen Anderson Sharp.
Phyllis was a graduate of Falconer High School and WCA School of Nursing. She last worked in Syracuse as an R.N. in private nurs-ing.
Phyllis was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting and other needlework.
Surviving is her husband Raymond F. Harwood whom she married Nov. 15, 1953, in Kennedy; a daughter, Karen (William) Myers of Camillus, N.Y.; a son, Michael (Julie) Harwood of North Syracuse; six grandchildren: Carlie Myers, Benjamin Myers, Adam Harwood, Ellen Harwood, Chris Harwood and Betsy Harwood; three great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marilee Brooks of Kennedy.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Harwood.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Jennifer Delahoy pastor of Kennedy United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be donated to St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, N.Y., or UPMC Chautauqua WCA in Jamestown, N.Y.
