Betty J. Williams
Betty J. Williams, 72, of Erie Co. Line Road, Corry, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, at her residence.
Betty was born Sept. 23, 1945, in Jamestown, N.Y., a daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Stebbins Goodrich
Betty was raised and educated in Panama, N.Y., where she graduated from Panama High School. Over the years, Betty worked for several businesses in the area, including the former Matco Tool Company in Clymer, N.Y., and Corry Contract Inc.
Betty attended the Faith Evangelical Church in Corry. She liked painting, various crafts, sewing and playing guitar. She also liked being outdoors gardening and bird watching. Betty especially enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Edward Goodrich.
Betty is survived by her husband, Charles H. William Sr., whom she married on Dec. 31, 1988 in Clymer, N.Y.; two daughters, Shelly Powell of Spartansburg, Pa., and Susan Fisher of Corry, Pa.; a stepdaughter, Valerie Wieliczko and her husband Michael of Tenn.; a son, Scott Applebee; and his wife, Tracey of Clymer, N.Y.; and two stepsons: Charles Williams Jr. and his wife, Jenifer of Bear Lake, Pa., and James Williams and his wife Sherri of Columbus, Pa.; and a sister, Ruth Stearns and her husband Allen of Ashville, N.Y.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren: Nicole Waychoff, Andrea Williams, David Applebee, Jordan Applebee, Amanda Fisher, Alyssa Fisher, Ryan Wieliczko, Lucas Wieliczko, Gabriella Williams, Aiden Williams, Rachel Williams and Zachariah Williams, along with seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and attend the funeral service there on Friday at 11 a.m. The Rev. J. Lynn Cirigliano will officiate.
Burial will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Spartansburg, Pa.
