David B. Wilcox

David B. Wilcox, 86, of Memory Gardens, formerly of 1853 Riverside Road, Kiantone, passed away Sunday, (Sept. 24, 2017) at UPMC Chautauqua WCA.

He was born Feb. 16, 1931, in Jamestown, the son of Ernest and Doris Wilbur Wilcox.

Dave was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the military police during the Korean War.

Before retiring in 1986, he had been employed at MRC TRW for 30 years.

Dave enjoyed baseball, fishing, hunting, trap shooting, bowling, golf, cutting wood and hosting his great pool parties.

He was an outgoing man that made friends wherever he went.

Dave is survived by his first wife, Donalene Olson Bemis of Frewsburg; four children: Debbie (Jack) Walker and Dude (Darlene) Wilcox of Frewsburg, Kathy Gray of Falconer, and Ronnie Wilcox of Cassadaga; three stepchildren: Joseph Sena of Cordova, Tenn., Ronald (Missy) Sena and David (Wendy) Sena of Jamestown; 16 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a daughter: Ruth Hale; two brothers: Ralph and Kenneth Wilcox; and his second wife, Eleanor Wil-cox.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Burial will be in Kiantone Maple Grove Cemetery, town of Kiantone.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Dave would appreciate no dressing in black and feel free to dress casual and comfortable for the hot weather.
