John E. Stanbro

John E. Stanbro, 57, of French Creek-Mina Road, Clymer, N.Y., died on Friday, June 23, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie, Pa.

John was born Dec. 12, 1959, in Corry, Pa., a son of Inez Carter Stanbro of Clymer, N.Y., and the late John E. Stanbro.

John was raised and educated in Clymer, N.Y., graduating from Clymer Central High School in 1978. He has worked as a mechanic in the farming industry since graduation. John worked in his father’s business, Clymer Farm Supplies for 17 years, then Rammelt Farm Equipment in Westfield, N.Y. For the past six years he has been at LaPorte Farming Equipment in Westfield, N.Y. John also worked as assistant manager of the security department at Peek n’ Peak Resort in Clymer, N.Y., for 10 years.

John enjoyed woodworking and spending time and joking with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, John is survived by his wife, Beverly Vettenburg Stanbro, whom he married on May 19, 1990, in French Creek, N.Y.; a daughter, Kimberly Lambdin and her husband, Richard of Clymer, N.Y.; two sons: David Stanbro and his fiance, Caiti Lemar of Edgewood, Ky., and Zack Stanbro and his close friend, Miranda Marucci of Corry, Pa.; two sisters: Cindy Edwards and her husband, Dennis of Corry, Pa., and Vicky Altman and her husband, Jay of Findley Lake, N.Y.; and a brother, Timothy Stanbro of Clymer, N.Y. Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Rachel, Samantha, Aaron, Noah, Jonah, Samuel, Camille, Leo and Olivia; and by several special nieces, nephews and foster chil-dren.

Family and friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home Inc., 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and attend the funeral service there on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. David Cooke will officate. Burial will be in Holland Cemetery, Clymer, N.Y.
