Daniel W. Stockwell

FREWSBURG –Daniel W. Stockwell, 75, of 87 W. Main St., died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing.

He was born Aug. 22, 1941, in Jamestown, the son of Wayne and Patricia Lindahl Stockwell.

Dan was a graduate of Jamestown High School where he was a member of the CHI SIGMA CHI FRATERNITY.

He had been employed for many years at the former Quality Markets and prior to that at Dairylea.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Frewsburg, the Frewsburg Sports Boosters, coached Babe Ruth baseball and was the first JV girls softball coach in Frewsburg. He had also been active in town of Carroll politics.

Dan is survived by two daughters: Lisa (Robert) Morris of Downingtown, Pa., and Kimberly (Jon) Dilts of Frewsburg; three grandchildren: Kyle Morris of Downingtown, Pa., Jordan and Amanda Dilts of Frewsburg, and a brother, Jim (Shirlee) Stockwell of Kennedy.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bonnie Stockwell, who died Jan. 1, 2017; an infant brother, David and another brother, Bill Stockwell.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg.

The Rev. Philip Roushey, pastor will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frews-burg.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
