Joan Brocklehurst Sharp
Joan Brocklehurst Sharp, 64, of Rochester, died Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at her residence in North Chili, N.Y. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Phyllis Brocklehurst.
She is survived by her siblings: Gary (Nancy) Brocklehurst of Covington, La., Dennis Brocklehurst of Line Lexington, Pa., Julie (David) Brocklehurst- Woods of Geneseo, Kent (Rahima Eaton) Brocklehurst of Snowflake, Ariz.; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Joan was born July 20, 1952, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of Harry Francis and Phyllis Miller Brocklehurst. She earned her master’s degree from Ohio State University. Joan was a financial analyst in Detroit, Mich., before moving to the Rochester area. She was a member of the Downtown United Presbyterian Church in Rochester.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Central Presbyterian Church, 31 Center St. in Geneseo with the Rev. Dr. Nancy Lowmaster officiating.
