Tyler W. Chase

Tyler W. Chase; beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 12, 2016.

Tyler was born on December 1, 1988 in Dunkirk, NY, the son of Barbara J. Chase and Morris E. Chase of Cherry Creek, NY. As a child growing up he spent many hours with his siblings on the farm where he learned to drive the tractors, bale hay, cut firewood, and other too numerous to mention activities.

Tyler was a longtime Chautauqua County 4-H member and enjoyed the Market Hog Project for many years. Some of his favorite times were spent on his Honda 4-wheeler riding trails with brothers and friends on his parent’s and neighbors’ farms. Hard work never deterred Tyler, and he was always willing to help. He was especially proud of his 8920 International Tractor and spent his free time helping his parents on the farm. Tyler had been employed as a machinist at Cummins Engine Plant in Lakewood.

Tyler will be remembered for his helpfulness, kind heart, honest nature, and his special smile.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Chase; father, Morris Chase; brothers: Allen (Amanda) Chase of Cherry Creek, Nelson Chase of Busti, Waylon Chase of Gerry; sisters: Loretta Peters of Tucson, AZ, and Lynette Chase of Jamestown; a grandmother; nieces and nephews Aaron Chase, Garett Johnson, Kayla Chase, Gilianna Johnson, and Gabriel Chase; aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as countless friends. Preceding Tyler in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents, and three uncles.

A Celebration of Life to honor Tyler will be held at the Park United Methodist Church, 49 Sinclair Dr., Sinclairville, NY 14782, on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm. The family invites friends to celebrate his life and share memories.
