CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPT.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Trista Taggart, 32, of Gowanda, and Ryan Taggart, 38, of Gowanda, were charged Thursday after a burglary Sunday in Silver Creek. According to a police report, deputies responded to the report of a past tense burglary on Pennsylvania Avenue in Silver Creek. It was learned items were removed from a shed without permission. Upon further investigation, it is alleged Trista Taggart, 32 of Gowanda and Ryan Taggart, 39 of Gowanda, entered the shed without permission and took property that did not belong to them. Trista Taggart was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and and petit larceny. She was released and will be in Sheridan Town Court later. Ryan Taggart was arrested on a warrant for third-degree burglary and petit larceny. Ryan Taggart was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment through the Centralized Arraignment Program.

¯ Taylor Hernandez, 34, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal impersonation at 11:14 p.m. Wednesday on Fluvanna Avenue, Ellicott. Deputies were investigating a situation on Fluvanna Avenue in Ellicott and identified a woman who was trying to conceal her identity by identifying herself as someone else to avoid an active warrant from Ellicott Town Court. Additionally, Hernandez was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. Hernandez was arrested on the Ellicott Town Court warrant and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail where she was additionally charged. Hernandez will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ Randy A. Haskins, 27, of Jamestown was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and operating with no tail lamps at 11:14 p.m. Wednesday on Fluvanna Avenue, Ellicott after the vehicle he was driving was pulled over for not having working tail lights. Haskins will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ Paul J. Perron, 29, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI for having a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent or greater, failure to keep right and moving from lane unsafely at 2:48 a.m. April 10 on Route 60 in Pomfret. Deputies responded to a report of a car accident and found the driver, alleged to be Perron. He will be in Pomfret Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

¯ Michael A. Weathers, 50, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, aggravated criminal contempt, aggravated family offense, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing at 12:27 a.m. Friday at 611 Washington St., Apartment 3. According to a police report, officers responded to a report of a domestic incident and reportedly saw blood all over a common hallway of the apartment and the distinct smell of bleach. Officers entered the apartment and found Weathers hiding in a closet. A woman had been able to escape the apartment but officers could not immediately find her. The investigation lasted several hours before police found the woman. A search warrant was obtained for the apartment and police report finding evidence and a weapon used during the incident. Weathers allegedly assaulted the woman after a verbal argument, during which he allegedly used a knife to threaten her. Weathers allegedly had an order of protection to refrain from assaulting the woman and had been convicted of domestic-related incidents in the past. He was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.

¯ Justin Anderson, 28, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal mischief at 2:28 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to Maple Street for a reported assault. A person had been taken to UPMC Chautauqua before officers arrived after allegedly being hit in the head with a broom, causing a severe cut that required medical attention. Anderson was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.
