Man On Cross-Country Journey To ‘Kill Ex-Wife’ Jailed In Catt. Co.

LITTLE VALLEY — A Massachusetts man who police say was making a cross-country journey to kill his ex-wife was taken into custody in Cattaraugus County.

Charged on Sunday with being a fugitive from justice was 45-year-old Ronald R. Chubb of Tyngsborough, Mass.

Cattaraugus County sheriff’s deputies were notified by authorities in Chautauqua County that a man in an eastbound vehicle on Interstate 86 was wanted out of Massachusetts. Deputies stopped the vehicle around 7:30 p.m. on the interstate in the town of Allegany.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, Chubb was allegedly “en route to Massachusetts from Colorado to kill his ex-wife.” No further details regarding the incident were made public.

Chubb was quickly taken into custody without incident with the assistance of the New York State Police. He was arraigned in Allegany Town Court and remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail.
