CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ WESTFIELD — Jason R. Taber, 22, of Silver Creek was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana and driving across hazard markings. Deputies stopped a vehicle March 7 for a traffic violation on Route 20 in Westfield. An investigation found that Taber was allegedly operating his vehicle while impaired by drugs. He was taken into custody and released with tickets to appear in Westfield Town Court to answer the charges.

¯ POMFRET — Charles W. Brown, 46, of Falconer was charged with failure to keep right, operating a motor vehicle while using a cellphone, driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Deputies stopped a vehicle in Pomfret on Wednesday for a traffic violation. It was found that Brown was allegedly operating his vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Brown was also reportedly found with methamphetamine and Xanax. He will answer the charges in Pomfret Town Court.

¯ HARMONY — Adam J. Marcucci, 38, of Cheektowaga was charged with second-degree criminal contempt. He was charged following an alleged incident Thursday in the town of Harmony in which he violated an order of protection issued by Harmony Town Court. Marcucci was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

¯ Crystal Ingerson, 28, of Celoron was charged with felony misuse of food stamps, felony fourth-degree welfare fraud and felony fourth-degree grand larceny. It is alleged that from Dec. 1, 2015, through Sept. 30, 2016, Ingerson failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services that she had income/employment. This unreported income allowed for Ingerson to receive $1,799.61 in unentitled benefits. Ingerson is scheduled to appear in the City of Jamestown at a later date.

¯ KENNEDY — Ralph Pratt III, 55, was taken into custody Wednesday after a warrant check by deputies and the New York State Police. Pratt was wanted in Pennsylvania for violated parole. Pratt attempted to evade arrest at a residence on Poland Center Road in Kennedy by exiting a window. He was met by K-9 Units. He was being held at Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
