Car Damaged In Collision With Cow In Sinclairville

SINCLAIRVILLE — A car was heavily damaged in a crash with a cow late Monday.

Firefighters were called to 5353 Route 60 in Sinclairville, between Old Chautauqua and Terry roads, around 10:35 p.m. County dispatch told fire officials that the crash was between a vehicle and a cow.

The car was heavily engulfed by flames following the crash when crews arrived. A portion of Route 60 near the scene was closed to traffic due to the incident.

The vehicle’s occupants were able to get out; no injuries were reported, however, county dispatch said the cow was killed in the collision.

Firefighters from Sinclairville and Gerry were called, as was Chautauqua County EMS.

No further information was available by press time Monday.
