CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF

¯ Robert C. Sheldon, 49, of Jamestown was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice out of Warren County, Pennsyvlania, after a traffic stop at 11:43 p.m. Sunday on East Main Street, Falconer. According to a police report, a vehicle Sheldon was riding in was pulled over for vehicle and traffic violations. Sheldon was arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program in the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ MAYVILLE — Ronald J. Hall, 32, of Mayville was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 3:28 a.m. Sunday after deputies investigated a suspicious situation at the end of Barnes Street, Mayville. Deputies talked to the people in the vehicle and report seeing drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search found Hall allegedly had drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Hall will be in Chautauqua Town Court later.

¯ SHERMAN — William E. Curry, 36, of Mayville was found and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail at 2:09 p.m. Monday after an arrest warrant had been issued for a parole violation. Deputies report receiving a tip that Curry was at a home on Route 430 in Sherman. He was arraigned at the Centralized Arraignment Program in the jail and will be in court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

¯ Amber J. Haight, 29, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief at 8:33 a.m. Monday after a report of criminal mischief earlier in the day at 406 W. Sixth St. Police report Haight allegedly damaged property belonging to someone living at that address. She was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until she could be arraigned.
