CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ WESTFIELD — Nicholas L. Rollins , 29, of Erie, Pa., was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and speed over 55 mph. Deputies stopped a vehicle Monday at 5:56 a.m. on Route 5 in Westfield for a traffic violation. Rollins was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. Rollins was issued a ticket to appear in Westfield Town Court at a later date.

¯ SHERIDAN — Stephan K. Taylor, 24, of Falconer was charged with failure to dim high beams, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and unlicensed operator. Deputies stopped a vehicle Tuesday at 1:38 a.m. on Route 20 in Sheridan for a traffic violation. Taylor was found to have a revoked driver’s license. He is scheduled to appear in Sheridan Town Court to answer the charges.

¯ Tiffany M. Walsh, 27, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and appearing in public under the influence of a narcotic. Deputies observed a woman enterting the public lobby of the South County Office Building visibly under the influence of a narcotic. An investigation found that Walsh was allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine and also possessed a quantity of methamphetamine. She was issued appearance tickets to be in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ FREWSBURG — Thomas Hagberg, 51, of Frewsburg was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. Troopers responded Sunday to Frewsburg for a report of a vehicle drivng erratically and stopped a vehicle after a traffic violation on Meadow Lane. Hagberg was taken into custody after allegedly failing several field sobriety tests. He was taken to police barracks where he provided a breath sample of .28 percent. He was processed and released to appear in Carroll Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Anthony D. Burris, 28, of Ellicottville was charged with second-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers responded Monday at 12:20 p.m. to East Fourth Street for a reported fight. Police learned Burris allegedly menaced a male victim with a knife prior to the two fighting. Burris allegedly had a juvenile unattended in the vehicle he was operating at the time of the incident. Burris was taken into custody and held for arraignment.
