Area Police Reports


¯ Jasen Swanson, 42, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, driving in center lane and operating a motor vehicle while registration suspended. Police made a traffic stop Saturday at 1:32 a.m. on East Virginia Boulevard near Hampton Lane after observing several traffic violations. Swanson was found to be driving while in an intoxicated condition following an investigation. He was taken into custody without incident, and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date to answer the charges.

¯ Frank J. Bindics, 42, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Officers responded Sunday at 12:08 a.m. to a residence on McKinley Avenue for a warrant check. Bindics, who had multiple felony warrants for his arrest, was located at the home. Bindics also had an order of protection to stay away from the residence. He was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail.


¯ Charles O. Brown III, 30, of Ashville was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Brown was taken into custody Wednesday following a domestic dispute that took place on Route 474 in Ashville. Brown is scheduled to appear in Busti Town Court at a later date for arraignment.


¯ SINCLAIRVILLE — Michael Pollaro, 33, of Gerry was charged with first-degree criminal contempt. Troopers responded Monday to a residence in Sinclairville for a reported domestic dispute. It was learned that Pollaro allegedly violated an order of protection between him and a victim. Pollaro was taken into custody, arraigned in Charlotte Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
