ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ James D. Eastham, no age given, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Ellicott police stopped a vehicle Sunday in Falconer for a traffic violation. Eastham was allegedly found in possession of a weapon though he had a prior criminal conviction. He was committed to Chautauqua County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.

¯ Christopher S. Lewis, no age given, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Police stopped a vehicle Sunday for a traffic violation. Lewis was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court following an investigation.

¯ Clarissa E. Maher, no age given, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Maher was stopped by police Nov. 2 for a traffic violation. She was issued an appearance ticket following an investigation, and will appear in court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Justin B. Traver, 37, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree obstructing govermental administration. Officers attempted to check a suspicious male at 6:22 p.m. on Tuesday in the area of Broadhead Avenue and Kidder Street. Traver attempted to flee when approached by officers. Traver was taken into custody a short distance away from the original location. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail without further incident and was waiting to be arraigned.

¯ Alex C. Peru, 26, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief. Police were called at 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday to Palmer Street for a reported domestic incident in progress. A female victim told police that Peru damaged her property and prevented her calling police during the domestic incident. Peru was taken into custody and held pending arraignment.
