FINDLEY LAKE — An Erie, Pa., man was facing a host of charges after a pursuit that began in Pennsylvania ended across state lines in Findley Lake.

Taken into custody was 51-year-old Marshall G. Young after troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police contacted the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office regarding a vehicle pursuit around 11 p.m.

Young reportedly lost control while eastbound on Route 430 in Findley Lake at a high rate of speed. The vehicle slid sideways into the westbound lane and entered a private driveway, damaging a gate. The vehicle continued down the private driveway and entered the lawn, which was also damaged in the incident.

Young stopped the vehicle upon coming to a wooded area and was arrested. He was found to be wanted in Erie, Pa., for failure to appear in court. The Pennsylvania man was arraigned in Mina Town Court on charges of driving while ability impaired by drugs, reckless driving, speed not reasonable, failure to keep right, unlicensed operation, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fugitive from justice. He was held without bail on the fugitive from justice charge.

Deputies were assisted in Findley Lake by the Pennsylvania State Police.
