¯ NORTH HARMONY — Anthony Merchant, 25, of Jamestown was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers observed a vehicle attempt to evade a stationary road check on Route 394 in Stow on Tuesday. Troopers stopped the vehicle, and while talking to Merchant, could smell marijuana. A check of the car revealed three marijuana cigarettes. Merchant was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in the town of North Harmony Court next month.
¯ GERRY — Torry Stephens, 36, of Gerry was charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Troopers responded to a residence in Gerry on Monday for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation revealed Stephens physically restrained the victim, preventing her from leaving the residence. Afterward he reportedly broke a window. Stephens was taken into custody and processed at police barracks. He was arraigned in Charlotte Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ LAKEWOOD — Juan Antonio Del Valle, 47, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree burglary, and petit larceny. According to police, officers were called to Walmart, 350 E. Fairmount Ave., on Wednesday at 8:53 p.m. Upon further investigation, Del Valle allegedly had stolen merchandise worth $70.32. Also he had an October 2016 signed restriction notice which made Del Valle an alleged trespasser as well. He will be in village court later.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — Cassandra N. Morris, 27, of McKean, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se having a blood alcohol content and failure to stop at a stop sign. Deputies stopped a vehicle Saturday at 12:45 a.m. on Conway Road in French Creek for a traffic violation. An investigation determined Morris was intoxicated. Morris was processed and released to appear in French Creek Town Court at a later date.
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
¯ BROKENSTRAW — Casey Hanlin, 47, of Corry, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence. Hanlin was stopped Sept. 12 on Route 6 in Brokenstraw Township in Warren County, Pa. Hanlin was found asleep in the driver seat while in the travel lane. Charges were filed through district court.
¯ WARREN — A 20-year-old male from Irvine, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence. The male was stopped Thursday at 1:52 a.m. on Walnut Street in the city of Warren for a traffic violation. The driving was found to be driving under the influence. Charges were filed through district court.
¯ SHEFFIELD — A 14-year-old male was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A vehicle was stopped on Sept. 2 in Sheffield Township for committing several traffic violations. It was found that the driver did not have a driver’s license and was driving the vehicle without permission. There were six other occupants in the vehicle at the time.
