JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ David A. Gray, 37, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense. Police responded to 222 Winsor St. at 8 p.m. on Friday for a trespassing complaint. An investigation found that Gray had an active warrant from Jamestown City Court as well as an order of protection for Gray to stay away from a woman at the scene. Gray was taken to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.

¯ Michael R. Brown, 47, of Jamestown was charged with felony DWI, felony aggravated DWI, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without an interlock device, renting without an interlock device, inadequate muffler/exhaust, failure to signal and failure to stop at a stop sign. Officers responded at 9:15 p.m. on Thursday to Sherman Street and Prather Avenue for a report of a male possibly operating a white pickup truck while intoxicated. Officers located the truck, and following an investigation, Brown was found to be intoxicated. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.

CATTARAUGUS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ OLEAN — Melissa A. MacDonald, 33, was charged with misuse of food stamps after an investigation by the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services. The charge was the result of MacDonald using another person’s food stamps while they were incarcerated in jail. MacDonald was arraigned and held in jail while she serves a sentence on unrelated charges.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE

¯ GLADE TWP — Ivar Hudson, 19, of Warren, Pa., was charged with driving under the influence — view drugs. State police stopped a vehicle on Aug. 9 on Jackson Avenue at Hohman Road in Glade Township, Pa. Hudson told troopers he had smoked marijuana prior to driving. Troopers discovered he was allegedly under the influence and committed multiple traffic violations. The investigation remains ongoing pending further investigation.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ POMFRET — Julia A. Anello, 37, of Dunkirk was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Deputies stopped a car in Pomfret on Sept. 2 for a traffic violation. Following an investigation, it was found that Anello was allegedly driving while under the influence of drugs. She is scheduled to appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.

¯ SHERMAN — Christian S. Cooper, 18, of Sherman was charged with driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. Deputies stopped a vehicle on Bailey Hill Road in Sherman for speeding on Sunday. Cooper was later found to be operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. She will appear in Sherman Town Court at a later date.

¯ Nancy L. Simmons, 69, of Ripley was charged with four counts of offering a false instrument for filing, third-degree grand larceny, third-degree welfare fraud and misuse of food stamps. Simmons was issued appearance tickets Thursday after it was alleged that from April 2014 to December 2015 she failed to notify the county of income within her home. This allowed her to collect$3,386 in SNAP/food stamp benefits. She is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.
