Area Police Reports
¯ Ricky J. Myers II, 19, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. According to police, officers responded to W. 13th St., for a fight in the area over a possible burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned that Myers had allegedly committed a burglary at a vacant Washington Street residence. Officers found Myers and took him into custody without incident. Myers will be City Court later.
¯ LITTLE VALLEY — Justice Dowdy, 22, of Salamanca was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana on Thursday after the vehicle she was driving was pulled over on Pigeon Valley Road, Little Valley. Troopers report smelling marijuana coming from inside the vehicle; the ensuing search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a bottle containing marijuana, a smoking device anda suboxone strip for which Dowdy allegedly didn’t have a prescription. She will be in Napoli Town Court later.
¯ Shawn Hill, 47, of Lakewood was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Thursday after troopers pulled his vehicle over because Hill was allegedly not wearing his seat belt while driving on Main Street, Lakewood. Troopers report smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a bottle containing two grams of marijuana and a smoking device with marijuana residue. Hill will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
¯ RANDOLPH — Kyle A. Lauritson, 26, of Jamestown Road, Randolph, was charged at 11 a.m. Tuesday with third-degree burglary, petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief after Lauritson allegedly broke into the Countryside Wines and Liquor Store on Main Street, Randolph, stole items from the store and damaged the property. Police report the burglary took place on Aug. 8. Lauritson was arraigned in Randolph Town Court and taken to the Cattaraugus County Jail on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond. He will be in Randolph Town Court later.
¯ RANDOLPH — Tyler L. Griffin, 23, of Conewango was arrested at a Randolph address at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 16 with three counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment after a domestic incident in Conewango. Deputies allege the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. Aug. 13 and that Griffin allegedly damaged a television, telephone, a door and hit his brother. Griffin willbe in Conewango Town Court later.
¯ DUNKIRK — Hamza M. Moussa, 19, of Buffalo was cited for speeding and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana at 1:09 a.m. Thursday. Deputies pulled Moussa’s vehicle over for speeding on Vineyard Drive, Dunkirk, and report Moussa also had marijuana in the vehicle. He will be in Dunkirk Town Court later.
¯ RIPLEY — Jeremiah A. Lyons, 19, of Clinton, Ohio, was charged with operating a motor vehicle on a state highway while being impaired by drugs after an accident at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 17 on Route 20 in Ripley. Lyons was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on pre-arraignment bail and will be in Ripley Town Court later.
