ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Aaron A. Johnson, 23, was charged with second-degree harassment, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, second-degree menacing and second-degree reckless endangerment. Officers were dispatched Sunday at 2 p.m. to the village of Falconer for a domestic incident. Police learned Johnson allegedly was involved in a verbal argument with a victim that turned physical. Johnson then reportedly threatened another victim by displaying a knife. He was arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail. He will appear back in court a a later date.

¯ Joshua A. Brown, 32, was charged with second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment. Police responded June 15 at 6:10 p.m. to a domestic incident at the Park and Ride on Route 60. Brown was reportedly engaged in a verbal altercation with a female victim. While the victim was allegedly attempting to remove their 1-year-old child from Brown’s vehicle, Brown allegedly pulled the vehicle forward, running over the victim’s foot and striking the victim and the child with the vehicle’s door. Brown reportedly fled the scene but later taken into custody. Brown was remanded to jail and will appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ KENNEDY — John Herget, 29, of Eric, Pa., was charged Monday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument and unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers pulled over Herget on Interstate 86 in Kennedy for a traffic violation. During the stop, Herget was found to be in possession of two Suboxone pills, a hypodermic needle containing heroin residue and a smoking device containing marijuana. Herget was placed under arrest and transported to police barracks in Jamestown where he was processed. He was arraigned in Poland Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.

¯ LEON — Jessica Vento, 33, of Randolph was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers pulled over Vento on Route 62 in Leon for speeding. While speaking to Vento, the troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of both Vento and her vehicle revealed a bottle containing marijuana and a smoking device containing marijuana residue. Vento was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket and is scheduled to appear in Leon Town Court next month.
