Police: Man Intentionally Strikes Home With Car
A Kennedy man was awaiting arraignment on drunken driving and other charges after police said he intentionally struck a home with his car Friday morning.
Alan C. Wilson, 27, was jailed after police were called to Manchester Road for a report of a car that struck a home and drove into a ditch. The incident occurred at 11:20 a.m., Jamestown police said Friday in a press release.
The driver, later identified as Wilson, reportedly fled the area on foot after crashing.
Officers with the Ellicott Police Department assisted Jamestown police in locating Wilson on Peck Settlement Road in the town of Ellicott. An investigation determined the Kennedy man was intoxicated and intentionally crashed into the home, police said.
Police did not state why Wilson crashed.
Wilson was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an incident and driving while intoxicated common law.
