Pair Jailed After Found Asleep In Car

Two are residents were taken into custody after police found them asleep in a car parked on the yard of a city home Friday.

Charged were 26-year-old Bridget G. Putman of Jamestown and 32-year-old Robert G. Clark of Randolph after police observed their car with stolen plates in the yard at 222 Winsor St. around 1:30 p.m. The pair was found to be asleep when officers approached.

Officers reportedly found a suboxone strip on the dashboard and a bag containing methamphetamine on the floorboard.

Clark was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.

Putman was taken into custody on multiple warrants by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.

In February, Putman was found in possession methamphetamine, pills and drug paraphernalia in a traffic stop on Route 394 in Ashville. charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating outside interlock restriction, unlicensed operator and inadequate muffler in the incident.
