CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ Danielle L. Davis, 47, of Jamestown was charged Tuesday with felony misuse of food stamps, third-degree welfare fraud, third-degree grand larceny and three counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. It is alleged that from Sept. 1, 2015, through Aug. 31, 2016, Davis failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services of income and employment within her household. This unreported income allowed for Davis to receive $5,915.00 in unentitled benefits. Davis was issued appearance tickets for the above charges and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

¯ Denisdaly Marrero, 28, of Jamestown was charged March 23 with fourth-degree grand larceny, felony misuse of food stamps, fourth-degree welfare fraud and three counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. Marrero was issued appearance tickets for the above referenced charges. It is alleged that from March 1, 2016, through June 30, 2016, Marrero failed to notify the Chautauqua County Department of Health and Human Services of income within her household. This unreported income allowed for Marrero to receive $1,802.00 in unentitled benefits. Marrero is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ Vincent Capizzi, 35, of Jamestown was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Capizzi was pulled over on Foote Avenue Extension in Jamestown for a traffic violation and while speaking to Capizzi, troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside his vehicle. Capizzi was found to be in possession of a marijuana cigarette and subsequently placed under arrest. Capizzi was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket, and is scheduled to appear in Kiantone Town Court at a later date.

¯ Carrillo Santos, 30, of Jamestown was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. Santos was pulled over on East Second Street in Jamestown for a traffic violation and while speaking to Santos, troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside his vehicle. Santos was found to be in possession of a marijuana cigarette and subsequently arrested. He was issued an appearance ticket and a traffic ticket, both of which are returnable to Jamestown City Court on a later date.

¯ Mary Waechter, 59, of Gerry was charged Friday with driving while ability impaired by drugs, second-degree obstructing of governmental administration, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance in a non-original container and unlawful possession of marijuana. Waechter was pulled over on Route 60 in Jamestown for a traffic violation and during the traffic stop, troopers observed Waechter concealing items between the center console and driver seat. When she refused verbal commands to cease her actions, Waechter was placed under arrest. A search of Waechter’s vehicle revealed a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue, a loose Vicodin pill and a bag containing a gram of marijuana. At SP Jamestown, Waechter failed multiple standard field sobriety tests and was subsequently evaluated by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert who determined Waechter was under the influence of a Central Nervous System stimulant. Waechter was then processed, issued appearance tickets and traffic tickets returnable to Ellicott Town Court and released. Waechter is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later in the month to answer the charges.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Roberta S. Johnson, 50, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated, improper right turn, driving with no taillamps and operation in violation of conditional license on March 25. Officers stopped a vehicle on Tiffany Street and after further investigation it was found that Johnson was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. She was taken into custody with out further incident. A chemical breath test revealed Johnson’s B.A.C was above twice the legal limit.

¯ Shakiyla S. Rahim, 24, of Jamestown, was charged with third degree criminal mischief on March 24. Officers were dispatched to Cheney Street for a criminal mischief complaint. Rahim allegedly threw a partially full plastic water bottle at the victim’s car causing damage to the rear passenger side bumper. Officers arrested Rahim without further incident. She Rahim was transported to city jail where she was held pending arraignment.
