Area Police Reports


¯ Amanda E. Vega, 32, of Jamestown, was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief. At about 8 p.m. officers responded to 37 W. 13th St. for reports of a disorderly female breaking property inside the residence. After investigation it was found that Vega had broken a victim’s cellphone. She was located on the scene and charged before being transported to Jamestown City Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

¯ Raymond C.L. Brown Sr., 39, of Jamestown, was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Officers responded around 6 p.m. on Wednesday to the area of Newland and Forest avenues for a report of an intoxicated and disorderly man stopping traffic in the middle of the road. Brown was observed by police standing in the road, preventing traffic from passing. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held.


¯ LAKEWOOD — Jessica R. Lamper, 31, of Warren, Pa., was charged Tuesday with two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of petit larceny on warrants out of Busti Town Court. It is alleged that Lamper stole items from the Lakewood Wal-Mart on Jan. 19 and 29 while being removed from Wal-Mart properties. Lamper was released in Busti Town Court to return on a later date.

¯ LAKEWOOD — Janette M. Bonilla, 46, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny Tuesday at the Lakewood Wal-Mart at around 3:10 p.m. It is alleged that Bonilla stole a purse and infant’s clothing valuing $166.86. She was later released to appear in Busti Town Court at a later date.


¯ WESTFIELD — A 13-year-old Westfield youth was charged Feb. 13 with third-degree menacing. At 7:43 a.m. police responded to Westfield Academy and Central School for a report of a student being disorderly. Upon arrival police spoke with Ivana Hite, high school principal, and it was determined that a 13-year-old student allegedly brought a knife to school and threatened another student. Upon completion of the investigation the youth was issued a Family Court appearance ticket and will appear in court at a later date to answer the charge.


¯ WESTFIELD — Timothy J. Englant, 31, of Westfield, was taken into custody on Wednesday by deputies and New York State Parole at a residence in Westfield on an outstanding warrant for a parole violation. Englant was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
