Area Police Reports


¯ Mark R. Burch Jr., 24, of Jamestown, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Officers stopped a vehicle at Crossman and Spring streets on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. Police were aware Burch had a suspended license. He was taken into custody without incident and allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Burch was transported to Jamestown City Jail.


¯ FREWSBURG — Dylan Brown, 19, of Frewsburg, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana. Brown was stopped Saturday on Emory Hill Road in Frewsburg for a traffic violation. He reportedly failed several field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. He was also found to be in possession of a backpack containing 30 grams of marijuana. Brown was processed at police barracks and released. He is scheduled to appear in Carroll Town Court next month to answer the charges.

¯ GREENHURST — Michelle Hilton, 50, of Jamestown, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana. Troopers responded Wednesday to a complaint of an erratic driver, who was located on Route 430 in Greenhurst. Hilton was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests. She was transported to police barracks in Jamestown, where she provided a breath sample of .21. A marijuana pipe was also located, state police said. Hilton was processed and issued appearance tickets to be in Ellery Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.


¯ SILVER CREEK — Brandon W. Klitz, 33, of Silver Creek, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Deputies stopped a vehicle on Wednesday at 8:26 p.m. on Central Avenue in the village of Silver Creek for an alleged equipment violation. Klitz, a passenger in the vehicle was allegedly found to be in possession of a small amount of marihuana. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in Silver Creek Village Court at a later date.

¯ POMFRET — Jordan W. Hebner, 19, of Westfield, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Deputies located Hebner Thursday at 4:24 a.m. at a local establishment in the town of Pomfret, who had a valid warrant for his arrest out of the city of Dunkirk. An investigation found Hebner was allegedly in possession of stolen property from an incident that occurred in the village of Fredonia on Wednesday. He was issued an appearance ticket and turned over to Dunkirk police for the warrant.
