Taser Used On Ripley Man During Foot Chase
RIPLEY — A Taser was used on a Ripley man wanted on felony warrants after he reportedly attempted to evade arrest Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said.
Dylan M. Murphy, 20, was taken into custody on felony warrants for first-degree burglary and second-degree assault as well as two counts of criminal mischief and petit larceny. Deputies observed Murphy at a residence on South State Street in the town of Ripley around 10 a.m. when he allegedly attempted to evade arrest by running from the property.
Deputies used a Taser on Murphy during the foot chase, the Sheriff’s Office said. The Ripley was taken into custody on the warrants and was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
Murphy was held without bail.
