Lakewood Man Facing Felony After Pulling Fire Alarm At WCA
A Lakewood man who allegedly broke open a door early Thursday at UPMC Chautauqua WCA and set off a fire alarm is facing a felony charge.
Kody W. Robbins, 20, was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court on charges of second-degree falsely reporting an incident, a felony, as well as third-degree criminal mischief and obstructing governmental administration.
Officers responded around 4:45 a.m. Thursday to the Foote Avenue hospital for a report of a disorderly person. Police were told Robbins was causing a disturbance and refused to leave the property.
Robbins was escorted out of the building by staff but later broke a door to re-enter the hospital and pulled the alarm. Police said there was no emergency when the fire alarm was pulled.
Police said Robbins also tried to pull away while being taken into custody.
