Crash Leads To Aggravated DWI Charge For Randolph Man
KENNEDY — A crash in the town of Kennedy lead to a drunken driving charge for a Randolph man Wednesday.
Brandon Durnell, 25, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after state police responded to Route 62 for a report of a motor vehicle crash. An investigation determined Durnell allegedly exited the road and struck a mailbox while driving in an “intoxicated condition,” state police said in a press release.
Durnell, who was uninjured in the crash, was taken into custody after reportedly failing several field sobriety tests. He was transported to police barracks where his blood-alcohol content was found to be .27 percent, more than three times the legal limit in New York.
The Randolph man was processed at police barracks and issued a ticket to return to Poland Town Court at a later date.
