City Man Jailed After Threatening Woman With Knife
A Jamestown man was being held after reportedly threatening a woman with a knife during a domestic dispute Tuesday.
Robert L. Barr Jr., 45, was jailed after officers responded around 5:15 p.m. to a Winsor Street apartment for a reported physical domestic situation. Police learned Barr Jr. allegedly threatened the woman with a knife and held her down while applying pressure to her neck.
Police also learned there was an order of protection for Barr Jr. to stay away from the Winsor Street apartment, the Jamestown police said in a press release.
The city man was taken into custody and charged with first-degree menacing, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree burglary, two counts of aggravated family offense, second-degree criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
Barr Jr. was transported to Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment in city court.
