CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ STOCKTON — Andre D. Vicks, 41, of Jamestown, was charged Sunday with felony driving while intoxicated, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, operating without ignition interlock device and speeding in zone. At 3:51 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 380 in the town of Stockton. The driver was identified as Vicks, who was taken into custody and charged following further investigation. Vicks was arraigned in Stockton Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.

¯ MAYVILLE — James Armstrong, 61, of North East, Pa., was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and speeding in zone. At 11:38 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle speeding on North Erie Street in Mayville. Deputies stopped the vehicle and identified the operator as Armstrong. Following investigation Armstrong was charged, and he will answer those charges in Chautauqua Town Court at a later date.

¯ JAMESTOWN — Kristie D. Brown, 27, of Randolph, was charged with fourth-degree welfare fraud, fourth-degree grand larceny and misuse of food stamps. Brown was issued appearance tickets Tuesday after she allegedly failed to notify the the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services that her household had income between May 1, 2014, to Sept. 30, 2014. Brown reportedly collected $2,138 in income she was not entitled to, the Sheriff’s Office said. She is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court at a later date.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ KENNEDY — John Yusczyk, 24, of Sinclairville, was charged Sunday with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and with an outstanding warrant for harassment. Jamestown troopers responded to Big Shots tavern in Kennedy for a report of a subject that refused to leave the premises after serving hours. The suspect was identified as Yusczyk, who turned out to be wanted by Dunkirk Police for second-degree harassment. While attempting to take Yusczyk into custody for the warrant, he became belligerent by yelling obscenities and physically resisted arrest by pulling away from patrols. Yusczyk was ultimately secured and transported to police barracks where he was processed. Yusczyk was issued appearance tickets returnable to Poland Town Court and is scheduled to appear next month. Yusczyk was then turned over to Dunkirk Police officers.

¯ MAYVILLE — Michelle Gilbert, 47, of Mayville, was charged Friday with second-degree harassment. Troopers responded to a residence in Mayville for a report of an attack. Investigation revealed that Gilbert struck a victim multiple times in the head, causing pain. Gilbert was served with a criminal summons and she is scheduled to appear in Chautauqua Town Court on a future date.

¯ Gandolfo Loiacono, 47, of Corry, Pa., was charged with aggravating driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Loiacono was stopped by troopers on Jan. 20 on Busti-Stillwater Road for a traffic violation and was taken into custody after he allegedly failed several field sobriety tests. Loiacono provided a breath sample of .18 percent. His license was reportedly revoked for an alcohol-related offense. Loiacono was released to appear in Kiantone Town Court at a later date.

¯ SHERIDAN — Jordan Mullen, 23, of Chautauqua, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Mullen was stopped Jan. 20 on Route 20 in Sheridan for a traffic violation, and following an investigation, troopers found a bag allegedly containing marijuana. Mullen was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to be in Sheridan Town Court next month.
