Rollover Crash Leads To DWI Charges Saturday

A rollover crash Saturday in the town of Ellington resulted in drunken driving charges Saturday afternoon.

Deputies with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office respond around 2:30 p.m. to a rollover motor vehicle crash on Waterboro Hill Road. The driver of the vehicle, 47-year-old Christina L. Rolls of Cherry Creek, was unharmed in the crash, the Sheriff’s Office reported.

An investigation revealed Rolls was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the incident. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI per se, with a blood-alcohol content of .18 percent or higher and moving from lane unsafely.

Rolls was processed and released with citations, and is scheduled to appear in Ellington Town Court at a later date.

The Sheriff’s Office was assisted Saturday by state police and firefighters from Ellington and Conewango.
