JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Charles H. Karr Jr., 42, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated family offense and third-degree assault. Officers with the Jamestown Police Department responded around 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 2 to a residence on Forest Avenue for a reported domestic incident. Karr Jr. was found to have allegedly punched a female victim in the face, causing injuries and pain. Karr Jr. was taken into custody and was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
¯ Ronald E. Ryen, 50, of Jamestown, was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, first-degree felony aggravated unlicensed operation, unlicensed operation, speed in zone and unlawful possession of marijuana at 12:36 a.m. Wednesday after he was pulled over on Jones and Gifford Avenue in Jamestown for allegedly speeding. A criminal history check revealed that Ryen was allegedly convicted of a previous driving while intoxicated charge with in the past 10 years, making the arrest a felony. Ryen’s driving privileges in New York state had been revoked for a previous DWI charge. Ryen reportedly refused a breath test and after processing was held at the Chautauqua County Jail on bail. Ryen will be in Jamestown City Court later.
¯ CHAUTAUQUA — Fletcher E. Walters, 25, of Sinclairville, was charged with trespass and unlawful possession of marijuana after deputies responded to a report of an unwanted person at a Chautauqua residence at 7:32 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies found Walters had allegedly stayed unlawfully on another person’s property. He will be in Chautauqua Town Court later.
¯ John M. Burt, 27, of Silver Creek was charged with speeding, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se at 2:15 a.m. Sept. 30 on Route 20 in Sheridan. According to a police report, Burt was pulled over for speeding and was allegedly intoxicated. He will be in Sheridan Town Court later.
¯ Crystal Laroy was charged with endangering the welfare of a child on Sept. 30 after a small child was seen on the sidewalk on East Main Street in Falconer with no adult supervision. Police report Laroy was found to be the mother after an investigation. She will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
¯ Robert S. Niles, 55, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree harassment and criminal obstruction of breathing after a reported domestic incident. He will be in court later.
¯ Daniel S. Blake, 24, of Lakewood was arrested Tuesday after Ellicott police served an arrest warrant in regards to an incident that took place Sept. 27. Blake was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
