JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ A 17-year-old male was charged with unnecessary noise, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. A school resource officer at Jamestown High School attempted to place a disorderly male under arrest Sept. 20 for creating unnecessary noise. The teenager became disruptive and began yelling outside the school. When told to stop, the 17-year-old ran from officers but was caught a short time later. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail.

¯ Kenneth B. Marion, 51, was charged with first-degree aggravated family offense and criminal obstruction of breathing. Officers responded at 3 a.m. on Saturday to the area of Crescent Street for a domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers talked to Marion who stated he had an argument with a woman. Police learned Marion choked the woman and was pushed off her and went through a window and injured his back and forearm. The woman was found to have an order of protection against Marion. He was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.

¯ Abner Cintron-Melendez was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief. Officers responded around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday to 52 Hazard St. for a domestic incident. Officers determined Cintron-Melendez broke a television belonging to someone else. He was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Sheldon M. Harper, 24, of Ashville was charged on Sept. 20 with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana. Officers were on patrol on Forest Avenue Extension in the town of Busti when they observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. Harper, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to have marijuana, a gravity knife and brass knuckles in her possession. She will appear in Busti Town Court at a later date to answer the charges.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ David M. Helms, 55, of Oakland, Md., was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, moving from lane unsafely and refusal to submit to a breath test. Officers responded on Sept. 14 to a vehicle accident in the village of Falconer. Upon arrival, the driver of the vehicle left the scene but was located a short time later. Police learned Helms was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash. He was arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.

¯ Dakota J. Fellion, 24, of Falconer was charged with being a fugitive from justice. Fellion was located by officers and was known to be wanted out of Warren, Pa., for parole violations. He was taken into custody as a fugitive from justice and arraigned in Ellicott Town Court. He is being held pending extradition to Pennsylvania.

¯ Kalie M. Wiest, 24, of Erie, Pa., was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, aggravated DWI, failure to keep right and unsafe tires. Ellicott police responded to a vehicle crash at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 12 on Strunk Road. Police learned Wiest lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a ditch. Wiest was released and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court at a later date.

¯ John A. Wigren, 54, of Falconer was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and one count of harassment. Police responded to a past-tense domestic incident and learned Wigren was allegedly verbally abusive to a victim in front of three youths. He was arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and later posted bail.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ RIPLEY — Tiffany M. Green, 35, of Lakewood was charged with driving without registration. Deputies responded Saturday to a motor vehicle crash on Route 76 in the town of Ripley and learned Green fell asleep, which caused her vehicle to go off the road and land on its roof. Green was taken to Westfield Memorial Hospital and was found to have been driving without registration. She was isued appearance tickets to be in court at a later date.

¯ HANOVER — Alan L. Bennett, 54, was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se and moving from lane unsafely. Deputies stopped a vehicle around 12:28 a.m. Saturday in the town of Hanover. Bennett was determined to be intoxicated, and his charged was elevated to a felony due to a previous DWI conviction in the last 10 years. He is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.

¯ SILVER CREEK — Robert McCutcheon, 47, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment. Deputies responded around 1:30 p.m. on Friday to Ward Avenue in Silver Creek and learned McCutcheon had damaged property of another person. He is scheduled to appear in Silver Creek Court at a later date.
