Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrests Saturday

A traffic stop early Saturday led to drug charges against three Jamestown residents.

Officers observed a green truck traveling westbound on Newland Avenue around 3 a.m. without license plate lamps. Following a traffic stop, it was determined Dale R. Tremblay Jr., 30, was operating the vehicle on a suspended license, had an active warrant out of Lakewood and had an active order of protection to stay away from 25-year-old Karlee P. Roberts, who was also in the vehicle along with 23-year-old Zachary A. Wilson.

All three occupants were asked to exit the vehicle, at which time officers reportedly found marijuana in the driver’s side of the vehicle. Also discovered was a small quantity of crystal meth and drug paraphernalia.

All three city residents were transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident and were awaiting arraignment. They were charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Tremblay was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and second-degree criminal contempt.
