Jamestown Man Jailed After Fleeing Police On Dirt Bike

A Jamestown man was jailed Thursday on several charges after reportedly fleeing from police on a dirt bike.

City officers observed Fermin Rodriguez Robles, no age given, around noon driving a dirt bike at a high rate of speed on Washington Street, near West 22nd Street. Police said Robles was allegedly weaving through traffic, and fled when police attempted to stop him.

Robles was located a short time later on West 18th Street and was taken into custody.

He was charged with unlawfully fleeing police, reckless operation, failure to comply, speeding, driving on a sidewalk, operating without insurance, operating out of class, speeding in a zone, not wearing a helmet, and uninspected and uninsured vehicle.

Robles was jailed Thursday and was awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
