Buffalo Man Charged After Carrying Stolen Handgun
A Buffalo man was charged Thursday after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of a stolen handgun.
At 1:50 p.m., police pulled over 19-year-old Kori D. Robinson on Crescent Street for an observed vehicle and traffic violation. After stopping, Robinson allegedly fled the scene on foot.
Police apprehended Robinson shortly afterward and determined he had allegedly discarded a loaded 9 mm handgun during the pursuit.
The weapon was recovered and linked to an October burglary in the city.
Robinson was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, obstructing governmental administration and several vehicle and traffic violations. He was taken to the city jail to await arraignment.
