Search Continues For Missing Warren County Man

Sven Blumquist

Several police agencies are continuing their search for a missing Warren County man last seen at the Blue Heron Music Festival in Sherman.

Conewango Township Police in Pennsylvania, which is handling the investigation, said Sven Blumquist was last seen about 1 a.m. Saturday at the festival wearing a red zip-up hoodie, blue jeans and a bandana. According to Jason Peters, Conewango Township Police chief, Blumquist was supposed to return home Sunday but has not been seen or heard from.

Capt. Eric Balon of the New York State Police said troopers have been assisting in search efforts in Sherman and the “surrounding area.” Also helping are members from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and New York forest rangers.

“Family and friends are actively searching as well,” Peters told the Times Observer newspaper in Warren.

Peters said Blumquist was listed as a missing person by his department and entered into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center because he is a township resident.
